Pre-Fall in NYC: A Sweaty Purgatory

Pre-Fall in NYC: A Sweaty Purgatory

Here we are on the cusp of fall and it is like I am stuck in a sweaty purgatory.

NYC is hot, but inside I am aching to pull out my turtlenecks. All I want to do is layer sweaters on sweaters and buy a pair of leather pants, but I can’t. Thanks Mother Nature, you’re really shoving it to me.

Department stores are carrying coats and boots, yet it is still hot in the city. I see all of the fall pieces that I want, but then I remember the steamy mess that awaits me outside of the air-conditioned Barney’s. How can I win when the weather is against me?

This heat is killing the fall vibe, if you ask me, and shopping at this time of year is especially challenging. Frankly, I am sick and tired of my jorts (and having to shave my legs consistently). I need a change of pace, and maybe you want one too.

Below are some transitional pieces that will hold you over until fall.
